Fancy Ways To Wear Your Sweatshirt

And! A little styling video.

Ok! Here we go trying out a little video! Let me know if this format works for you, I’m going to try to add these extra styling add on videos semi-regularly to talk through the how’s and whys.

I promise I’m not going to make every newsletter this fall about my trip to Paris, but this is about…my trip to Paris.

When I went, I did my tried and true packing method, I had outfits perfectly pre-planned so I didn’t overpack, or ever feel frustrated or at a loss for what to wear. On my way out the door, I threw on my navy sweatshirt from Jamie Haller, and tossed a grey one in my carry on from Richer Poorer, as a just in case thing. I wasn’t sure I’d wear either of them, but hey, better safe than sorry.

When I arrived, it was colder than I anticipated, and all of the things I packed felt kind of…wrong. I didn’t go a single day or single outfit change without incorporating one of them, one way or another, into what I was wearing. I will never travel without a sweatshirt again.

I also just did a mini closet clean out (it’s The RealReal’s consignment month, and you can earn an extra $450 by consigning, not an ad here, thought I did partner with them on my last letter, just saying…it’s a good time to out with the old) and it made me think more about what I’m willing to part with, and which pieces I would never in a zillion years give up. These perfect fitting crewnecks are things I’d never, ever get rid of. And of course, if you want to just shop, shop the edit here.

FIRST: TO KEEP IT ALL TOGETHER

Thank you Phil for this shot! This is the blazer I wear 99% of the time, it’s a perfect, sharp navy blazer, and works in all situations. It’s an investment for sure, but one of the best ones I’ve ever made. Look at this (use code COXLP15 for 15% off), or this instead. I like the classic blue stripe with the red here, my shirt is very old old Céline, but try this one from Donni. Here are three skirts that give the same vibe as mine: one ; two ; three! I wore this with my Jamie Haller sweatshirt (which is sold out, but you can get on the waitlist here) but here’s my other favorite navy sweatshirt with a similar fit.
