What are we even really doing here?
Four years in - what this newsletter is and does and why (plus, a glittering dolphin in the sun).
If I were better organized, I would have called March “Aging Month” or something like that. First, this essay on turning 39, then the things that help My Fancy Mom get dressed, and here we are again. But also now it’s April. So.
For the last three months or so, the last quarter, I’ve been grappling a bit with the validity of what I do, and the seriousness with which I’m allowed to take this. I’ve been feeling self conscious, really, and like…I don’t know…shouldn’t I be doing something more…real? This puzzling gets more intense as I get older.

When it comes to fashion, I’ve always had a perspective that while it’s fun and beautiful and, sure, important - it’s not that important. It’s not brain surgery, we’re not curing cancer. But! There are few things that can make you feel the way a good outfit can. Like a dolphi…
