We all know I have and like tattoos - sometimes I get a kind of rushing urgent feeling in my chest hat I need to do something dramatic. I want to cut my hair off or dye it pink or get a tattoo! Get a tattoo! 90% of the time I resist the urge, and my trick (aside from the skills I’ve learned in AA to resist the urge) is to get a silly manicure instead. Get something bright and kind of tacky, something out of the box of my usual bare nails.

Almost a year ago I got the urge, so I went to a place in Beverly Hills and got this:

Woweeeeeeee wowowowowow. Neon pink jelly base with multicolored confetti stars. I felt so happy when it was finished, the urge = scratched. I didn’t shave my head, I didn’t get a tattoo, and I didn’t drink. I did, however, fall into another form of addiction.
