Ok, at this point, shopping is over. Right? This exercise in gift recommendations has stretched the limits of my imagination and generosity, but it’s been good for me too - I’m EXCEPTIONALLY good at shopping for myself - not so much for others. Call me self absorbed, I’ve been called worse. Speaking of self absorbed, another little gift idea is - ta-da! - a personal styling session with me! You can book it through Indyx - you essentially catalog your closet, then I noodle around and put together looks for you. It’s very fun & very easy.
But still, I have a few lingering recipients on my list, and I’m guessing you might too. And for the guys? Ugh, it’s impossible, but my best efforts are contained in this letter. So here we go.
Ilia Lip Wrap Reviving Balm, $24 - This is my go-to lately for extra dry lips. It has no smell, no flavor, looks like a gloss, and makes my lips super soft. I’d love to get a bucket of these in my stocking.
Iris & Romeo The Reset mist, $45 - Back in the days of the office, I used to keep a mist like this at my desk. Now I keep it in my car. It’s a Hyaluronic Acid formula that moisturizes and kind of re-vamps my face. I can’t totally describe it but it makes me look dewy and happy and awake, and feels great.
Great Jones sheet pan set, $85 - I used one of these baking sheets today to bake ~130 cookies for the teachers at my kids’ schools, and not a single thing stuck to these. Plus, the colors! I love the cobalt, but the yellow is very nice too.
Louise Roe vase, $140 - Marjon Carlos recently recommended one of these for this NL, and it really is a great gift! So beautiful, so practical, and luxe but relatively affordable.
Jennifer Behr bow, $150 - A delight! A girly delight! Who wouldn’t be thrilled to have a perfectly tied bow barrette? It’s the year of the bow, after all.
Sézane wallet, $175 - I put this wallet in this week’s NL - it’s so beautiful! I love a thing that can be a wallet or double as a clutch for a night out. So here we are.
T. Line shirt, $250 - A very crisp, clean, classic button down with stripes that are neither too wide nor too narrow. It has a men’s shape I love, plus wide, starched cuffs (WHICH I LOOOOOOOVE). Plus you can have it monogrammed.
La Ligne cashmere sweater, $275 - Usually I think sweaters can be a bit impersonal as a gift, so if you’re going to gift one, there’d better be a damn good reason. This one is one of my all time favorite go-to’s. It solves so many problems in my wardrobe - just cropped enough, just fitted enough, just classic enough. It also comes in sizes up to 3XL, and looks great on many, many body types. AND they gave me a code for 20% off orders over $250 that works through end of the holiday shipping season - use LAUREL29 at checkout.
Ziip Halo, $349 - I wrote about this device for this post about not getting facial botox. It’s a microcurrent thingy that massages the fluid out of your face while also zapping your facial muscles and helping them strengthen and rebuild any loss of tone/structure (this means, prevents sagging!). I love it so much, they gave me a special discount code - use LAURELZIIP at checkout for 10% off a Ziip Halo or any conductive gels.
Loewe sunglasses, $430 - I recently saw someone chic-issima wearing these. Those little dots are rhinestones, so they glitter very pleasantly in the sunshine. I love the maroon color, I love the sparkle, I love the shape.
Savette bag, $1,576 - A perfectly classic, super beautiful, extremely useful bag, from a relatively under the radar brand. This is a treat, and is something the recipient will use for years and years.
Sherman Field pendant, $2,570 - This sweet pendant has the same texture as some of Sherman Field’s signature lockets, but features a tiny diamond on the bottom right. The back is fully engravable - and this is actually a perfect segue into the men’s gifts because it’s very much unisex!
AND NOW FOR THE GUYS!
Sézane boxers, $40 - Maybe this has more to do with the men in my life than any kind of universal takeaway about gifting - but with the guys, I tend to go for practicality and utility over wow-factor. Most of the guys I know don’t like stuff and tend not to replace their most useful stuff - so I will likely go in that direction. Starting with these very cute, very special boxer shorts, which you can have monogrammed with his (or your!) initials.
Madewell sweatshirt, $80 - A very simple, clean, soft sweatshirt. What could be better?
Fear of God sweatpants, $95 - Cool guy soft pants if the guy in question cares about being cool.
Mulo slippers, $195 - Shearling lined and made from recycled wool, these are both beautiful and highly practical. Especially if said man is not one to allow shoes indoors, a nice pair of slippers is a must.
Pendleton blanket, $255 - And here! A very classic, very useful quilt. Use it on a bed, on a beach, at a park, on a hike, on the couch…. It will always look and be good.
GR10k anorak, $655 - Finally, the perfect weather-proof anorak. The kind of thing most men need, but can’t locate - this is made so beautifully, has such thoughtful details, I’m actually planning on buying it for myself. I saw it on Tommy Ton the other day, and now I need one too. I’ll buy it for my husband but be the exclusive wear-er.
Ta-da! And thus concludes the gift guides. Here’s one for fancy women by my fancy mom, one for the hardest to impress people in your life by two cool people I know, things I want for myself, random useful fashion things, fantasy jewelry gifts, and a handful of other nice things.
Best of luck on tying loose ends!

Hey Laurel, do you do styling sessions for people in the UK? 😬
