Mom Things this time, sorry
If you don’t have kids, this is going to be entirely mom/parent-centric. I’m sorry! The next one won’t.
Back in like 1860 when I was training for the NYC marathon, I couldn't shut up about it - I mentioned it "casually" in every single conversation. Having kids is like that. Within fifteen seconds of meeting someone new I always tell them I have kids. Without fail. I’m powerless against my need to talk about myself, and lately, the kids are the main thing I have to talk about. I’m not really doing much else… Welcome to Covid!
