I’ve always been a very proud pants gal. I love a good pair of pants! I like the practicality of them, the confidence of them, I like mensy stuff, and so, historically I haven’t worn many skirts and dresses. I also like the freedom that comes with separates - I like putting together a total look, which steers me further away from dresses, but then closer to skirts.
In the last six months or so, I’ve gotten way more into skirts. They feel closer to pants IMO, because you get to create a full look with them (add a top or top and jacket if you’re feeling it) - they’re versatile, I mean. There’s also a lot to be said for the sensuality of a swingy skirt, or showing just a little leg. When I nail a skirt look, I fucking nail it, and few things feel as hot as that.
This season, especially, there seems to be a wide variety of really, really good skirts on the market. And like I said, good ones are very “style-able” - as in, customizable to your body type and your personal style. Being “style-…
