Five years ago, I got married. And it was the most fun. I really enjoyed doing the wedding: I had too many dresses, too many drinks, we had too many people on the guest list. It was the best. Being in Austin (where we got married) this time of year I can clearly remember the feeling of the days leading up to THE DAY, and being so excited, luxuriating in being the center of attention—I love attention.
I felt so beautiful, so happy, so overwhelmed with every good feeling having so many people I love close to me. Also, obviously, getting married. We sealed the deal the night before the ten year anniversary of our first “date,” so I felt like I’d done my homework on the guy and we were solid.
Cut to five years, two kids, and a pandemic later...
