A ~vested~ interest

First off, man, thank you so much for subscribing and doing this with me. I’m beyond thrilled to start this little community, and make these edits, and get to do this stuff with y’all. OK SO! As promised, a thing that’s kind of hard to wear, but feels very right now right now. Vests! A few weeks ago I posted a vest outfit, and I got a few questions about it. Here it is:

I love it, and there were a lot of 3-piece suits on the runway for Fall 2020 (the last season that felt like a real season…therefore still a valid trend in my mind). BUT! I feel like wearing a vest is a little bit like being the kid who wore the cape to school (I did that), it can feel pretentious and try-hard, or costumey if you go too Annie Hall with it. I’d say, skip the tie, skip the bowler hat, but keep the pleat front pants and a few other things.
