In my mind, nothing signifies horny, rich, and lazy quite like vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. The designer launched “Yves Saint Lauren Rive Gauche” in 1966 as ready-to-wear, in contrast to the existing Yves Saint Laurent Couture. The clothes themselves were slinky, tactile, slim - looking at vintage it’s kind of a stripped back bohemianism, but mega sophisticated, and super-urban - and an artful blend of masculine and feminine. And who could forget Le Smoking! The first tuxedo for women.
